Dr. Garg completed his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He went on to receive his paediatric residency training at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth College, where he also served as the Chief Resident. He is on staff at the Markham Stouffville Hospital, and holds a clinical academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Star kids, Dr. Garg practiced in the Boston area of Massachusetts, and most recently at Markham Pediatric Health Centre.
Dr. Garg provides both general and consultative paediatric services. His clinical interests are in children with complex medical needs, seizure disorders, developmental paediatrics, and asthma.
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Garg has been involved in several research studies including HIV and respiratory infections. He is involved in teaching medical students and residents from University of Toronto and Sick Kids. He has been involved in initiatives to promote the role of clinical informatics in improving care to patients.
On his days off you will find him outdoors biking, hiking or canoeing. When he is home he enjoys painting. He is married with 2 children.
